Dakshineshwar Kali Statue - 15 1/2" (Ganga Clay)

Many areas in India claim a particular aspect of Mother Kali as their own. This Kali is from Dakshineshwar on the Hooghly River near Kolkata.
It is the site of a Kali temple built in 1855 by the widow Rani Rashnooni which houses the benevolent Bhavatarini aspect of Kali.
The Dakshineshwar Kali Temple Complex is where Ramakrishna lived for 30 years with his wife Sara Devi.
Our colorful clay murti is made from clay of the Ganges River and is over 1’1/4 ft tall.
