In Hindu mythology, Devi is known as the Divine Goddess. She appears in many guises and has a special role in the Hindu pantheon as Creator, Preserver and Destroyer. She is love, spiritual fulfillment, beauty, and the consort of Krishna, Sri Radha. In the guise of abundance, fortune, and virtue, she is Lakshmi, wife of Narayana. Devi is also the dark and ferocious Kali, who slays the evils of ignorance in order to bring forth new insights.
