Mother Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, sits slightly in front of Ganesh, the remover of obstacles to your being prosperous, and Saraswati, the goddess of creativity who helps you use your fortune with wisdom in creating your life. The picture helps you remember that it is possible to have whatever you want, that the universe will provide for you, if you believe.Long, long ago the Harappan civilization grew up along the banks of the Saraswati and Indus rivers. It was one of the earliest civilizations on earth. Here the written language of India was created.
Today the goddess Saraswati is said to personify excellence in all forms of communication due to the role her river played in the Harappan’s lives. In even more ancient times, Saraswati, assisted by the god Indra, slew a mighty demon that hoarded the earth’s waters and thereby brought chaos, darkness and drought to the earth.
Mother Lakshmi sits in the middle of a 1000 petal lotus. As the flower opens petal-by-petal her love drips into your heart. Lakshmi destroys failure and poverty, protecting you from misery and money-related problems. It is know that Shri (as Lakshmi is also called) will take away laziness, stagnation and anger from your life.
Ganesh is the protector of the goddess in all her many forms. He is also the keeper of Mother Earth. Shown with Lakshma and Saraswati, Ganesh symbolizes good fortune and creativity always accompanies one who has discovered his own internal divinity. –
