It is said Kali steps on Shiva’s chest to enable her to stop her killing frenzy following her battle with demons.
The demons Kali fights are those of the ego: jealousy, anger, fear, pride, sorrow, bigotry, darkness, the need to be right, desire for worldly goods, evil, etc.
Kali is a well of compassion, eager to help along those who call to her according to her devotees.
Our statue of Kali is made from resin and stands 7” tall.
