    The phurba is found in Tibetan Buddhist rituals as a ritual stake used to fight off dark powers. Phurbas utilize the Buddhist theme of self-control on the path to enlightenment. It is also used as a meditation tool. Phurbas originated from Tibetan tent pegs.
